I could bore for England on the subject of adhesives.
Here is the card I was making with the stuff on my desk. Stamp is from SU Fun and Fast Notes set stamped with versafine onto some pearl card from Payper box and coloured with perfect pearls, SU rich razzleberry and old olive then PVA applied with fine tip applicator and topped with glamour dust.

Base card is washed cream colourway of new Pink Petticoat Vintage Roses download printed directly onto a Craftwork Cards scalloped card which was attached to a sheet of good quality paper with Scotch magic tape to run it through printer and hey presto a fancy insert.
Hop over to Julia's and you will be able to browse dozens of desks all over the world. I arm myself with a pad of paper and a pen 'cos you never know what ideas and inspiration you might come across. I've still got a long list to follow up on. If that sounds too hard it's just a great way to drop in on you crafty mates and say "Hi".

Now I've just got to make another wedding card 'cos little sis asked me to make TWO for tomorrow. Give me five minutes then and I'll knock one together!

ReplyDeletegreat card and lovely flowers, can't say I am a lover of poinsettias, though i do like the real ones.
ReplyDeleteHow come you know so much about glue? how random lol but great tip about the PVA.
Your card looks lovely, so delicate. Great desk this morning too. Have a great day, Tracy Evans x
ReplyDeleteThose poinsettias look great, and I'm another SU fan and also someone who works with a fine tip glue bottle. Brilliant aren't they - it's a habit I picked up in my miniature making days ...
ReplyDeletePoinsettias are great - love the tag in the middle - great touch. I'm with Elizabeth..card candy? Am so out of touch! Great adhesive trick for foiling - you rattle on about glues, we all want to hear.
ReplyDeleteI just had a text this morning. My sister hinting deeply for some handmade goodies for her step-daughter for Christmas. So it seems the lead up has officially begun *g*
ReplyDeleteLoving your adhesives box and you can bore me anyday. I hate things not being stuck down properly and am still learning which is best and which isn't at the mo I seem to just use DST, PVA, book binding glue and super glue.
Oops sorry *g* DST = Double Sided Tape. I love book binding glue. Once it's dry, aint nothing coming unstuck. I get it cheapish on eBay. I accidentally spilt a pot in my drawers once. I now have a glue mountain that wont budge. I tried chiseling it out and it was the drawer that was coming away not the glue. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteHi
